Vodec consumers love to dance. So when COVID-19 forced the cancellation of Vodec’s annual in-person Halloween dance, staff put their heads together to come up with an alternative. The solution – a virtual dance party, one that would allow consumers to see and chat with their friends, request songs and dance to current hits – all from the safety of their homes.

Vodec’s first ever Virtual Dance Party series will debut during the month of November. The cost is $10 per person to participate and includes a party box with limited edition swag and snacks. Each of Vodec’s development centers in Omaha, Council Bluffs and Urbandale will host its own virtual event. The schedule:

Dancing Through the Decades

Urbandale Development Center
Date: Thursday. Nov. 12
Time: 6:00 to 8:00pm

Hollywood Hits

Each virtual dance party location has a limit of 90 attendees. The registration deadline is Tuesday, Nov. 3. Once consumers have registered and paid the admission fee, they will be notified how to get their party box, which can’t be opened until the event begins.

Payment can be made by cash, check or credit card. Those paying by cash or check should drop it off at the front desk of the development center in their geographic area. Those paying by credit card can use Vodec’s PayPal account, which can be found at www.vodec.org/donors.
