Nonprofits the world over will celebrate Giving Tuesday on Dec. 1. The event was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. During the past seven years, Giving Tuesday has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate and celebrate generosity.
This year, metro area nonprofit SHAREOmaha is powering this day of doing good in the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro. Vodec is participating in #GivingTuesday712, and all donations received Dec. 1 will benefit Vodec’s supported employment program at the Council Bluffs Development Center.
